Pharmacy First Scheme

Did you know that other health care providers in the local area may be able to help with your healthcare needs? Simple ailments such as coughs, colds, diarrhoea, sore throats and headaches are now being dealt with at your local chemist. Under a new scheme, qualified staff at Boots, Dudley Taylor, Belle Vue and Lloyds are now able to prescribe some medications for minor illnesses. Other conditions that can be treated under this scheme are: conjunctivitis, impetigo, nappy rash, uncomplicated urinary infections and oral thrush. If your health is usually good then this service may be of use to you if you become unwell. Ask at your chemist for details. Normal prescription charges apply if prescription items are required. If you qualify for free prescriptions then you will not have to pay.
